Meanwhile, we have been very busy in the previous term (1st term, 2016/2017), all to ensure you run your schools smarter. Despite the recession, a lot of interesting things have happened which you will learn in the next sections.
FlexiSAF recently launched its payment platform, SAFPAY to help schools manage finances with greater ease. With an online payment option, the accounts department can become truly cashless, avoiding the security and accountability challenges of the traditional model of bookkeeping. Designed with schools owners and administrators in mind, SAFPAY presents detailed financial records in real time about transactions entering the school as income and leaving as expenditure. SAFPAY, used effectively has the ability to save your school money lost through transfers and bank charges. Has there ever been a better time to tighten your accounts?
We understand that effective communication with parents is a very important requirement for schools and SMS has proven to be reliable in that respect. SAFSMS has always simplified communication with parents via SMS. It enables schools to send customized messages about students’ academic performance, finance update/reminders and bulk SMS to all parents, a particular section or just a class.
In as much as SMS communication is simplified, you have always wanted an improved SMS feature that will enable you view status report of messages sent and also have control to manage your SMS credits.
To bridge the communication gap between schools and parents, SAFSMS has added a communications module so parents can be kept informed on the social and academic well-being of their wards. The SMS manager enhances cooperation between parents so they work with your school as partners that have a stake in the success of their wards by offering home work support and faster school fees payments. The platform may be used to send anything from disciplinary messages to clinics updates. Text messages may be blasted to the entire population of parents or filtered to groups of parents with wards belonging to a specific class. Staff may also benefit from the service as receivers of urgent information or unplanned changes in the calendar year.
In response to feedback from clients, the SAFSMS team added a new feature which allows teachers fill in subject scores offline, in the event of network or power failure. This is part of FlexiSAF’s pioneer initiative to keep things Simple, Affordable and Flexible for all our users. We understand the time constraints that exist for teachers and the responsibility of sending results home to parents on time. The offline score entry template is one of the commitments we’ve made to our users to empower them with the tools needed to produce the highest standards in education. In response to feedback from clients, the SAFSMS team added a new feature which allows teachers fill in subject scores offline, in the event of network or power failure. Due to the recession, many families might be having difficulty adjusting to the new realities of the current state of things. A few factors to consider are:
- Accounting for minor costs that add up, such as transportation to & from school versus boarding school.
- Asking for the personal opinions of your wards.
- The School’s subscription to a School Management Software.
- Quality of school facilities compared to school fees. Other students enrolled into the school.
