On the 11th of December, 2015, the management of FlexiSAF formally donated the Computer Based Test (CBT) Server and Application to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi. During the hand-over ceremony, the CEO , Faiz Bashir, explained that FlexiSAF is donating the server as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. We believe in being liable for the impacts of our decisions and activities on every aspect of our immediate environment. It is more than donations, charity or printing double-sided to reduce deforestation, but doing all that so with the thought of contributing to the health and welfare of society, operating transparently and ethically for the greater good.
“On behalf of FlexiSAF, I would like to formally hand over the CBT server as part of our efforts to promote ICT in the University. We are excited to give back to the University that groomed us and will also try our best to mobilise and encourage our colleagues to contribute their own quota”, the CEO expressed.
The CEO, COO, CTO and at least four other staff of FlexiSAF are graduates of ATBU Bauchi. It left us with a feeling of self righteousness to be able to do something for the community that nurtured some of the brilliant minds in our organization.
The CBT Server which can support up to 1000 concurrent students will be used in simplifying tests and examinations for large number of courses. With this capacity, 5000 students can be served in a day in 5 batches. The application will also be used in Post UTME screening for applicants seeking admission into the University.
The Vice Chancellor, represented by the DVC Admin, Prof. Isiaka Ibrahim, expressed his gratitude to the support rendered by FlexiSAF and explained that the impact of the CBT solution in the University cannot be over emphasized.
We believe that the donation of this server will support a great purpose in ensuring accurate test taking in the University henceforth. The system will introduce a robust, most convenient and tech-friendly way of lesson plans, assessments and exams.
